back in the studio

Just got back from a weekend in London visiting friends and, well, seeing london for the first time. amazing! Had the chance to meet some of the lovely people at Walker books, see the natural history museum, eat a mean steak and ale pie (or two), and admire the wonderful pops of red against grey and white and burnt sienna bricks, which made me want to fill a canvas with those tones only.

Back in Rome, here is a glimpse of my studio right now, where i'm working on a book project, an editorial piece and a giant painting which doesn't quite fit on my minuscule easel and has therefore been propped on some books on the floor, where i have been squatting for hours with my giant belly (see secondlast photo). Meanwhile, our music video made it to vimeo staff picks, for which we popped some imaginary champagne.
